Leave of absence and reinstatement

If a student has a family or medical emergency/situation which does not permit them to work towards completion, a student may apply for a Leave of Absence (LOA); limit is four semesters. An LOA needs advisor, DGS, and college approval. Learn more about University of Minnesota LOA policy and forms.
